Guidance for Implementation of Traffic Incident Management Performance Measurement

The objective of this project was to develop guidance on TIM performance measurement and program management in an online format that will be placed on the existing TIM Network website, www.timnetwork.org. The guidance also included a database schema and database scripts geared towards local and regional agencies and ready for immediate implementation, which will allow local and regional agencies to capture and store the data elements needed to calculate TIM performance metrics, and associated contextual data, at the incident level. In addition, the online guidance will provide a mechanism for user comments and feedback, which will allow future work and development of TIM performance measurement and program management to hone in on the real-life limitations and seek to fill gaps in data availability, collection, and exchange.
